Recipe to make "Uppu Puli Dosa?
This is a preparation of the western coastal region of Karnataka, Dakshina Kannada.
Yen Rai! It is flavored with tamarind dosas and they are delicious. UPPU PULI Dosa: Ingredients: 1 / 2 c urad daal (Toor daal try a different flavor) 1 / 2 c steamed rice 1 / 2 c uncooked rice 4 c. tablespoons coconut grated fresh small chilies 8-10 green, finely chopped small ball tamarind (1 tbsp), soak in a little hot water 1 / 2 tsp Tea cumin seeds 1 / 4 c. Tea freshly ground black pepper 1 / 2 c. tsp salt (to taste) Preparation: Soak rice and daal togther overnight and grind with all the other Ingredients for Dosa a thick paste, using water as needed. Cover and let ferment in a warm place for 5-6 hours. The dough should be ready to make the dosas on a hot tawa and serve with your favorite chutneys.
