Hi. At school, my 3 project partners and I are doing this medieval banquet Day thing. We need some recipes for food and preferably also drinks. These foods and beverages should be easy to do. They should preferably be as little snacks, not as a lunch. If you find any good recipes, please can I have the site and the recipe? Thank you sooo much for your help!
Thank you all SO (!) Many, I am soo thankfull!
INGREDIENTS: fresh cherries – Stands removed. Cherry juice – use only if you do not have enough juice cherries themselves. Butter – very soft or melted. Butter is more medieval creamier than modern varieties. Seasoned bread crumbs or finely chopped bread, white sugar, wine – a semi-sweet red or white. If alcohol is a problem, try to use grape juice with a little red wine vinegar added. Small pink flowers – For decoration only. Be sure to use something non-poisonous flowers – Candy function properly if nothing else is available. DIRECTIONS: mashed cherries either by mixing or finely using a blender or food processor. Place in a large saucepan and add enough cherry juice to make a very wet mixture. Stir in butter and wine. Beat in the bread, enough to thicken the cherries to a thick pudding like consistency. Add sugar to taste – it should be sweet. Bring sweet cherries to a boil, then reduce heat and cook for few minutes, stirring often to prevent sticking. Place the pudding serving dishes, decorate with flowers, sprinkle with sugar on top and serve.
